A Kid Again

Offers fun filled adventures, Parent’s Night Out, & Hospital visits for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness “normal” again by helping them gain back moments of positive, family-shared experiences and memories.


Angel Flight

Angel Flight Soars arranges free air transportation for people who need to travel to receive life saving medical treatment, but lack the means.


Bee Mighty

Provides support and resources to local families before, during and after their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) journey.


Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation

Provides exceptional hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families that are getting treatment at the John Hopkins Children's Center.

Carolina Children’s Communicative Disorders Program

Fund hearing aids and other hearing devices for children with hearing loss.


Cure the Kids

Provides direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means.


EnergyUnited Foundation

Assists with personal disasters, living expenses, and the purchase of health-related equipment.

Exceptional Education for Exceptional Children

North Carolina has long been a leader in educational options for families. For students with disabilities who may need access to another option to meet their educational needs, the Children with Disabilities Grant and Education Savings Account may be their answer.

First In Families of North Carolina

The First In Families local chapters offer support to families and individuals according to their self-defined needs. Examples of supports include computers, home furnishings or modifications, childcare or respite, or repairs to vehicles. Support can also be the connecting of an individual to vocational, social, and educational opportunities in the community; whatever it takes - for people to live and participate fully in their community.


GiGi's Playhouse

Provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs for individuals with Down syndrome.


HopeKids

The most predominant conditions that qualify for HopeKids include, but are not limited to, cancer, heart defects, Cystic Fibrosis, organ transplants, Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy and Sickle Cell Anemia. Children with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and Spina Bifida may qualify if their treating physician deems that their specific medical situation (i.e. coupled with other complications) is considered life-threatening.

Make A Wish Central and Western North Carolina

A child with a critical illness who has reached the age of 2½ and is younger than 18 at the time of referral is potentially eligible for a wish.

 

Marty Lyons Foundation

Applications will be accepted for “special wishes” only for children chronologically aged three (3) through seventeen (17) years. Children must also reside, or be receiving medical treatment in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

Mercy Medical Angels

Provide assistance with transportation to receive medical services in the air with commercial airline tickets and volunteer pilots, and on the ground with gas cards, bus and train tickets.


Michael's Way

Families of children in treatment are eligible to apply for funds to pay for needed expenditures such as rent, mortgage, utilities, bills, childcare and transportation to and from the hospital.

Roberts-Miller Children's Fund Grant

A caring fund to provide assistance to any child in North Carolina under the age of 18 with serious medical/dental or related needs that cannot financially afford the service.

Rossi Fund

The Jean Wolff-Rossi Fund for Participant Involvement (Rossi Fund) empowers individuals with I/DD and their family members can receive reimbursement for specific expenses for seminars and conferences designed to improve their knowledge, networking and skill levels for advocacy.

Providing services and resources to the disadvantaged population and families in crisis in southern Davidson County.
