New York Funding Sources


Angel Flight East

Provide free air transportation to qualified patients and their families by arranging flights to distant medical facilities, delivering supplies to disaster areas, and reuniting families during desperate times. Provides transportation in the Northeastern region of the United States for distances up to 1,000 miles. The minimum distance AFE travels is 100 miles.


Angel Flight Northeast

Coordinates free air transportation through volunteer private pilots for patients whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive treatment or diagnosis, or who may live in rural areas without access to commercial airlines.

Association for Autism and Neurodiversity

The Daniel Braun Memorial Camp and Recreational Activities Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for a limited number of teens and adults age 14+ who need help paying for recreational activities or services.

Bringing Hope Home

Pay household bills to ensure our Families are able to stay in their homes, with a roof over their heads, utilities on, phones working, and food on the table while they are dealing with cancer.


Contractors for Kids

Provides assistance to families in Long Island overcome obstacles that have unfortunately changed or have impacted their lives through the sickness or injury or death of a child.


David's Refuge

David’s Refuge partners with 22 locations throughout Central New York, the Southern Tier and Western New York. David’s Refuge is for parents or guardians who care full-time at home for children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions.


Double H Ranch

Provides specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with a life-threatening illness free of charge.


Dream Factory

Largest all-volunteer driven children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. The organization believes children with chronic illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain. Parent must apply through local chapter.


Embrace Kids Foundation

Embrace Kids Foundation exists to lighten the burden and improve the quality of life for children with cancer, sickle cell and other serious disorders in the New Jersey/New York City metropolitan area.


Fairy Godmother Foundation of New York

Makes dreams come true to improve the quality of life of individuals living with medical, physical, mental health, or developmental challenges.

For Pete's Sake Foundation

Provide trans-formative respite experiences to cancer patients (ages 24-55), their caregivers and their children.

Friends of Karen

The mission of Friends of Karen is to provide emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with a life-threatening illness and their families.

Garden of Dreams Foundation

Madison Square Garden in NYC makes wishes come true for kids with special needs.


GiGi's Playhouse

Provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs for individuals with Down syndrome.


Hearts and Hands

Provides free escorted transportation, companionship, and in-home supports for adults with disabilities in communities throughout Erie and Eastern Niagara Counties.


Im ABLE Foundation

Grants are awarded to individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral challenges residing in the Mid-Atlantic region, providing adaptive sports gear and group fitness programs.

Jake's Help From Heaven

Assists children and their families within 100 of Saratoga Springs, New York affected by debilitating illnesses including neurological impairments, mitochondrial and genetic disorders, and pediatric orthopedic problems.


John Theissen Children's Foundation

Provides therapeutic and recreational equipment to hospitals and childcare facilities; supports families with financial assistance to defray medical expenses; offers toys to sick and needy children during the holiday season; and fulfills patients' wish lists throughout the year.


Lexiebean Foundation

Supplies care packages to patients, parents and their siblings, and provide financial aid to families on a case-by-case basis.

Long Island Family Supports Services Grant Programs

Grants for respite, family training, advocacy, counseling & support services, crisis intervention, voucher reimbursement, senior day programs, recreation and non-medicaid service coordination.


Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York

Grant the wish of a child 2.5-18 years old diagnosed with a critical illness, i.e., a progressive, degenerative or malignant condition that is placing the child's life in jeopardy.


Marty Lyons Foundation

The Marty Lyons Foundation was established in 1982 to fulfill the special wishes of children chronologically aged three (3) and seventeen (17) years old, who have been diagnosed as having a terminal or life threatening illness by providing and arranging special wish requests.


Motion Project Foundation

Help individuals who have suffered a spinal cord injury by providing funding for medical equipment, home modifications, rehabilitation, advocacy, or other services and activities to improve lives of these individuals and show there is hope after tragedy.


Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

Provides direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means. The child must be treated at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.


Red Dog Foundation

Helps families of pediatrics with out-of-pocket expenses they incur, specifically parking fees they are faced with daily, while visiting a child in a NYC hospital.


The Robert DiLibero Foundation

Primarily service under-financed Leukemia Lymphoma and Myeloma patients who are under care in New York City and Nassau/Suffolk County areas.

SKIP of New York

Assists individuals and/or families through the initial eligibility and enrollment application process into the Care at Home and Medicaid Service Coordination, at no cost to the individual and their family.


Sunrise Association Day Camps

Providing memorable summers for children ages 3 1/2–16, Sunrise Day Camps bring the simple pleasures of childhood back to children struggling with cancer. Current camps available: three in New York (Long Island, Pearl River & Staten Island)


The Jeremy Fund

They help the families of children in the oncology department at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and their satellite facilities, Robert Wood Johnson Children’s Cancer Center in New Brunswick and Sloan Kettering in New York City.


TJ for Kids Memorial Fund

Was formed by family and friends to give children the opportunity to achieve better lives through education, lifestyle, and human services.


Tom Coughlin Jay Foundation

Financial assistance for household expenses is provided on a temporary basis for families who find themselves in financial difficulty as a result of their child’s cancer.


TRAID Program

Access to assistive technology devices available to any New Yorker with a disability.
