A Kid Again

Offers fun filled adventures, Parent’s Night Out, & Hospital visits for families caring for a child with a life-threatening illness “normal” again by helping them gain back moments of positive, family-shared experiences and memories.


Bert's Big Adventure

Provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children ages 5-12 with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. The child/family must live in the radio listening area of The Bert Show.


Butterfly Fund

Provides direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means.


Children with Special Needs Fund

The Children with Special Needs Fund provides support for children in Michigan with special health care needs not available through any other funding source. The Fund helps with the purchase of equipment and services that promote optimal health, mobility, and development, enhancing the lives of children and their families.


Emily Ann Griffin Foundation

Provides funding for equipment and life-enhancing experiences for children with special needs.

Family Hope Foundation

Family Hope Foundation offers financial assistance for therapy that is not covered by insurance to families in West Michigan. Scholarships of up to and including $1,000 per applicant are awarded twice a year. Applications are due March 1st and September 1st.


GiGi's Playhouse

Provide FREE, life-changing therapeutic, educational, and career training programs. Jack's Place for Autism Foundation

Jack’s Place for Autism Foundation has created “Jack’s Dollars”, a Scholarship Program to help families afford the support they need for a variety of programs. "Jack’s Dollars” available for the following types of programs:

  • Recreation, Sports

  • Hobbies

  • Crafts

  • Music

  • Art

  • Dance

Jasmynn's Voice

This organization was inspired by Jasmynn, a non-verbal Autistic girl who uses an iPad to help her learn and communicate. We hope that all of our recipient families will help us "pay it forward" to get iPads into the hands of all non-verbal Autistic children in Southern Michigan. (Branch, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Hillsdale, Ingham, Jackson, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne)

The Lane Walker Foundation

The Lane Walker Foundation exists to minister to the needs of families with children who have special needs. So when the foundation hears about a family that may be facing an upcoming surgery or hospital stay, they wa​nt to be able to bless that family with a gift card for fuel, food or a hotel room to help ease the stress and expense of being out of town. All requests must come through a case worker recommendation.

Lifeline Pilots

FREE transportation for such medical needs as on-going medical treatments, diagnosis and follow-up care.


Lori's Voice

Provides funding for equipment, educational resources, or expenses related to medical treatment of individuals up to the age of eighteen (18) who have neurological, muscular, or other degenerative conditions resulting in permanent impairment or mobility issues. Vehicle assistance is extended to residents of the Michigan counties of; Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Allegan and Newaygo.


Mercy Medical Angels

Provide assistance with transportation to receive medical services in the air with commercial airline tickets and volunteer pilots, and on the ground with gas cards, bus and train tickets.


Michigan Department of Health and Human Services

They offer a number of programs to help you and your family with temporary assistance when times are tough.

Mimi's Mission

Mimi’s Mission is a local non-profit organization that helps Downriver families in need. The goal of the organization is to provide a hand up, not a handout, especially to working families in our community. (Allen Park, Brownstown Charter Township, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile Township, Huron Charter Township, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Taylor, Trenton, Woodhaven, and Wyandotte counties.)


Miracle Travel Works

Provides assistance for travel for the purpose of seeking urgent medical treatment for your child, and you reside within the Midwest states. Mission of Hope Cancer Fund

Financial assistance to cancer patients and their families during treatment and recovery for ALL cancers and ALL ages!

Northwoods AirLifeline

Organization of volunteer pilots from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and northeast Wisconsin who donate their time and aircraft to help patients and their families with urgent medical needs for services not found locally.

The Oxford Kids Foundation

The Oxford Kids Foundation will consider requests for help with alternative therapies or medical treatments not covered by insurance and located in the state of Michigan. They provide funding to both children and adults with special healthcare needs.

The Rainbow Connection

The Rainbow Connection makes dreams come true for Michigan children with life threatening illnesses and provides emergency support services, information, referral, special summer and holiday get-togethers and, perhaps most important of all, a listening ear to Michigan families battling a child’s life threatening illness.


Renew Mobility

Provides mobility equipment: manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers, canes & crutches, bathroom aids, pediatric equipment, Hoyer lifts, and more to individuals in Western Michigan (Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ottawa counties) who do not qualify for other assistance.

The Lane Walker Foundation

Exists to help special needs children and families throughout Mid-Michigan.

Wings of Mercy East Michigan

Serving the families of Eastern Michigan by providing free air transportation for patients with limited incomes needing treatment at medical centers in the Eastern and Midwestern United States.
