Anchor of Hope Foundation www.anchorofhopefoundation.org

Anchor of Hope offers grants to special needs children to help cover the costs of therapy, education, equipment, and other needs not covered by insurance or Medicaid. The maximum grant amount is $250.00 per child per financial year.

Angel Flight

Angel Flight Soars arranges free air transportation for people who need to travel to receive life saving medical treatment, but lack the means.

Bert's Big Adventure www.bertsbigadventure.org

Provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. To qualify for Bert’s Big Adventure, children must be between the ages of 5 and 12, live in “The Bert Show” radio listening area, prove financial need and have never been to Walt Disney World®. The Butterfly Fund

Facilitated by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children to provide direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means. Covered Hospital is Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Champions for Children www.championsforchildrenga.org

Provides direct financial assistance and support services to Georgia's medically fragile and special needs children and their families. Must have applied for Katie Beckett and received a level of care denial.

Dreams Come True www.dreamscometrue.org

All children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and either live or are treated in Northeast Florida or Southeast Georgia are eligible for a dream. FOCUS+ Fagile Kids www.focus-ga.org

FOCUS offers parents support – a shoulder to cry on, an ear that understands the acronyms, a visit when a child is hospitalized; FOCUS offers information and resources in the community; we even offer specialized childcare so parents can take a break! Medically fragile child, age 21 or younger, who is a legal U.S. citizen with a primary residence in Georgia may apply for Equipment.

Friends of Disabled Adults and Children www.fodac.org

FODAC provides refurbished durable medical equipment for adults and children in need. Programs have evolved to include free or low-cost wheelchairs and other durable medical equipment, vehicle and home adaptations and more.


Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation

Provides low-cost vision and hearing care for uninsured and under-insured Georgians of all ages.


Georgia Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program

Provides specialized telecommunication equipment to Georgia residents with hearing and/or speech impairments that prevent them from using ordinary telecommunication equipment.


Hudson Family Foundation

Provides individual grants that offer financial support to children and their families living with a life-altering or terminal disease or who have experienced an unexpected circumstance, accident, or tragedy. The grants are used to help ease the financial stress that these situations can create for a family.


Jay's Hope

Improve the quality-of-life of children with cancer and their families in Georgia by extending HOPE through social, emotional, spiritual, educational and financial support.


Just Heart Foundation

Primarily focusing on children with neonatal and cardiac issues, our grants cover a wide variety of needs including medical costs, rent, mortgage payments and utilities.

Kiddos Club Foundation

Awards scholarships up to $2500 for payment of therapeutic services or equipment.


Mercy Flight Southeast

Coordinates missions to fly organ transplant candidates, people involved in clinical trials, chemotherapy or other repetitive treatment, victims of abuse seeking relocation, families receiving help from Ronald McDonald Houses, Shriners Hospitals and many other charities, disabled or sick children to special summer camp programs, disaster relief and for many other humanitarian reasons.


New Perspective Foundation

Helps individuals who are currently hospitalized due to a spinal cord injury by assisting their family and friends with airfare, gasoline and lodging expenses so they can travel to support them in their time of need.

Creates dream room makeovers for children with long-term illness. SOARD has quickly become a leading charity in Atlanta with expertise in residential ADA modifications, therapy rooms, and unique children's room design.

Tom Coughlin Jay Fund

Financial assistance for household expenses is provided on a temporary basis for families who find themselves in financial difficulty as a result of their child’s cancer.

Tools for Life

Tools for Life, Georgia's Assistive Technology Act Program, is dedicated to increasing access to and acquisition of assistive technology (AT) devices and services for Georgians of all ages and disabilities so they can live, learn, work and play independently and with greater freedom in communities of their choice.

Provides several programs to enrich, improve, and fulfill the lives of children living with disabilities and disadvantages.
