Ady's Army

Is a force for good, reaching Alabama families of children with special needs through fences, swimming, respite/date nights, community, music, and racecars.


Angel Flight

The original volunteer pilot organization serving those who reside in or are traveling to or through the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and the Carolinas since 1983. However, they know angels everywhere, and can coordinate with other volunteer pilot organizations within the Air Care Alliance to work with, when needs extend beyond their reach.


Bert's Big Adventure

www.bertsbigadventure.org Provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children ages 5-12 with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. The child/family must live in the radio listening area of The Bert Show.

The Butterfly Fund

Facilitated by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children to provide direct financial assistance to needy families of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors for items not covered by other means. Birmingham's Children's Hospital is an approved facility.

Easter Seals of Birmingham Area

Not only offers Camp ASCCA, Pediatric Therapy Programs and Adult Vocational Training; they also have The Medical Assistance Grant Program that assists individuals and families in paying for the medical requirements of children and adults who have disabilities and are unable to provide for their own needs.

Family Support

Offers Individual & Family Support in all counties in AL. They offer a Home Modification Program, Special Holiday Assistance and Food For Life Program.


Hudson Family Foundation

Provides individual grants that offer financial support to children and their families living with a life-altering or terminal disease or who have experienced an unexpected circumstance, accident, or tragedy.

Kid One Transport

Provides transportation to medical, dental, and mental health care services for children and expectant mothers who are transportation disadvantaged.


Libby's Friends

Ease the financial burden of living with special needs for medical equipment, devices, ramps, seating assistance, and excess therapy.

Magic Moments

Fulfills the non-medical wishes of children ages 4 – 18 with chronic life-threatening or severe life-altering conditions, who live or receive treatment in the state of Alabama.

Marty Lyons Foundation

Applications will be accepted for “special wishes” only for children chronologically aged three (3) through seventeen (17) years. Children must also reside, or be receiving medical treatment in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

Mercy Flight Southeast

Coordinates missions to fly organ transplant candidates, people involved in clinical trials, chemotherapy or other repetitive treatment, victims of abuse seeking relocation, families receiving help from Ronald McDonald Houses, Shriners Hospitals and many other charities, disabled or sick children to special summer camp programs, disaster relief and for many other humanitarian reasons.

The Methodist Men's Ministry

Primary project is the building of wheelchair ramps for people in Escambia County.

Rebuild Together Central Alabama

A non profit organization that repairs the homes in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties at no cost for low income, elderly and/or disabled homeowners.

Southern Disability Foundation

The Ability Loan Program is an Alternative Financing Program for individuals with disabilities and their families to borrow money at a low-interest or extended-terms for the purchase of assistive technology, adaptive equipment and related services.
